The Inherent Parent Coach
This is where I’m supposed to write something about unlocking the wisdom within and encouraging you to step boldly into your power, but that’s not really me. I prefer straightforward, practical strategies to help you improve relationships with your kids and hopefully help your home feel more peaceful. As a child therapist and a parent, I know the struggles that many kids and parents face and am here to strategize with you how you can best support your child. My goal is for you to gain clarity into your child’s needs, understand ways you can help, and receive support in a non-judgmental environment. If you want to step boldly in your power, that’s okay too.
About The Inherent Parent Coach
I'm Leigh Ellen Magness. For 20 years I've been a child and adolescent therapist. Now I'm bringing everything I've learned to parents to support them in supporting their kids at home. I believe most parents are inherently good at parenting and today’s expectations for parents are way too high.

E-COURSES
After years of working with children and families, I hear the same questions again and again: How do I stop the tantrums? Why won’t my child listen? How do I help with big feelings or constant worry? I turned my answers into short, practical e-courses you can start tonight. Learn on your schedule. Each course is broken into short sections. Finish in days or spread it over weeks; whatever works for your family. Each course includes written materials, short videos, and visual cheat sheets to help you remember what you've learned. Buy any course on its own, or join the monthly membership starting at $29 a month, less than the cost of a single coaching session.

PARENT COACHING
Parent coaching calls provide a valuable opportunity for parents to seek guidance and receive feedback on specific situations they encounter. Things like addressing concerning statements from your children, supporting unique behaviors in comparison to their peers, and determining if additional services like therapy or testing are needed and how to access them. This is a great option for parents who don’t feel like their kids need therapy but they’d like to consult with a child therapist.

EXPERT WITNESS
With 20 years of experience working with child victims of sexual abuse, I've been a consultant and expert witness in numerous court cases—civil and criminal. I testify regarding child/play therapy, disclosure dynamics, false allegations stats, benefits of closed-circuit TV testimony, and more. As a mental health representative on a local multidisciplinary team, I've collaborated with various agencies to ensure child abuse victims receive necessary services and support within the judicial system. My mission now is to help legal teams use their witnesses more effectively.
